Rules

These site rules not only apply to the forum, but everywhere else within the Libelldra Forge, including but not limited to user profiles, signatures, avatars, and chat room.

No Pornography
Any picture, flash movie, video, or link to one of the previously mentioned things that contains nudity is against the rules and will immediately be deleted upon notice of one of the moderators or administrators, and a warning via PM to the original poster of the deleted content will follow.
Profanity
All profanity, in English or other language, must be kept to an absolute minimum to keep this web site work and family friendly. Many filters between users and the web site will block the site if it has an excess amount of profanity. For the sake of the community, all profanity must be kept to a minimum.
We do not owe you anything
The content, community, web site, etc are completely free. Therefore we do not owe you anything. However, we will do our best to please the community, but no user is more important than another and rules apply to all users.
Spamming
This is filling up the forums with unnecessary posts. Spamming rules are less strict when posting on a social board, but even then, excessive spamming warrants a moderation. On Discussion forums, spamming is not tolerated. Spamming includes multiple posts with little relevant content, such as "good point", "ok", and "I agree". Also advertising web sites that are not within the Libelldra Forge or Umbrella Group arena is forbidden and could be subject to post or account deletion.
Contribute to the conversation
Think of it this way. Ask yourself when posting on a discussion forum: "Does this post contribute anything valuable to the argument/discussion?" If the answer is no, the post is most likely spam.
Flaming
This is a clear insult to another user, both direct and implied. "Joke" insults must be used with discretion; if a moderator interprets your joke post as a true insult, it will be deleted.
Trolling
This is posting with the intention of annoying other users with disruptive behavior. If a moderator views your post(s) as Trolling, they will be deleted.

Moderation Feedback System

This system allows you to contest to a moderator if you believe that your post was deleted unfairly. This may only be used if the moderation resulted in various consequences -- such as a warning, suspension, or other. If this is the case, a Moderator will PM you with a copy of your original post and explain why it was deleted/the consequences occurred. You then have the chance to explain your case to the moderator in a reply. If the moderator agrees with your case, the punishment will be revoked, but the original post will still have been deleted. However, there can be further consequences if this privilege is used incorrectly. Depending on the misuse of this system, you will receive another warning, post revoking, or suspension.

The actions of others are NEVER an excuse when it comes to flaming, spamming, trolling, and other, more severe moderations. Saying "X user did it, so I can!" is not an excuse. Likewise, saying "He did it before, and he didn't get any punishment!" will not be accepted.

Our Warning System

The warning system is designed to allow posters to "quit while they're ahead", so to speak. The warning system is cumulative. When a post is made that a moderator deems severe enough for a warning, the poster will be warned level 1. It is possible that a severe enough post will be given a level 2 warning. When you receive any form of warning, this will remain for 14 days, unless you receive another warning in that time. After the 14 days of clean posting history, the warning will be removed. Once a user has received a level 3 warning, this will remain for 30 days unless another severe post is made during that time. After the 30th day of a clean posting history, the warning will be removed. If a poster's warning level exceeds level 3, more severe action is taken, including but not limited to revoked posting privileges, suspension, and ban.

Severe Punishments

The following consequences can result after a user has exceeded a level 3 warning:

The consequence chosen depends on the severity of the action, the user's past history, and most importantly, the lenience of the moderator. The following consequences can result into either one of the following:

  • Post Monitoring: The user must require moderator approval on all further posts made
  • Suspension: Your posting privileges will be revoked for a certain amount of time specified by the moderator and thusly reviewed and approved by an admin.
  • Ban: The user's account is banned, and no other accounts can be made from the user's IP address.

If a post(s) is/are severe enough to warrant a ban, the user will first be suspended and have the chance to contest. If the contestation is overturned by the moderator, or if 24 hours has passed and the user has not contested, the user will be banned.

A Final Note

Any questions regarding anything that has been said here, or questions about something you think is missing can be asked via PM's, which you can send to either Ruesap or Fantasty.
